Fighting with RFM12 modules…

Yeah,… because it is really fight…
These modules are cheap, tiny but very painful pain-in-the-ass things.
Datasheets are full of errors, misleads… Provided code samples have errors, they simply don’t work. (it is proven across the Net).

If you’re interested in this kind of fun, you should look at Strobotics blog

I’ll try to post some of my code samples, when I win the battle…

hAVE BEEN WORKING FOR A WEEK ON THIS MODULE TO COMMUNICATE WITH ANOTHER
This is technically the best module pound for pound i have seen.
But the technical data on this module must be the worst i have ever seen.

I couldnt get the NIRQ to be high!!!!
Just come across this site and you have saved me from going mad with your por reset and writing to the straus addr to clear the interupt………….life is worth living after all!!!

    Got the transmitter to work.
Can see data on the VDI O/P on the reciever.
But can not as yet get the reciever to respond ie get the NIRQ LINE on the receiver to go low to indicate a succesful coms link????????
Im now spending all my free time on this project……very sad…
